Milestones can become more than anniversaries. They can become moments when experience, relationships, opportunity and responsibility flow back to the generation coming behind.

Six Reach-Back Generations. One Successor Generation. One intergenerational movement.

Reach-Back Generations

Six milestone generations. Six pathways to reach back.

The Reach-Back Generations are milestone classes marking decades after school around 2027. Each brings a different kind of experience, perspective, network and opportunity. Together, they show how anniversaries can become meaningful pathways of support for those coming behind.

The Successor Generation

2027@00 is the generation being supported.

2027@00 — The Journey Begins: transition, discovery, preparation and growth.

The Successor Generation represents students preparing to leave secondary school and move into what comes next. Reach-Back exists to help bring support, perspective and opportunity closer to them.

Because many in this group may be under 18, participation begins through parents, guardians, schools, alumni groups and other responsible adults.

Where do you fit?

You may belong to one of the Reach-Back Generations — or you may help in another way.

Some people will find their place through one of the six Reach-Back Generations. Others may participate by opening doors through schools, alumni associations, organisations, networks, expertise or support. Either way, there is a place for you in the movement.

What door can you open?

You do not have to belong to one of the six Reach-Back Generations to help.

Reach-Back is open to anyone who can make a useful connection possible. Alumni, school leaders, parents, educators, associations, professionals, organisations and friends of the initiative can all help when they can open a useful door.

Reconnect your former school with practical transition support.
Bring an alumni association, school leader or educator into the conversation.
Open access to mentoring, networks, expertise or useful opportunities.
Support school-level engagement through resources, partnership or sponsorship.

Start with your former school

One school connection can begin the journey.

Think of the school that helped shape your own transition. Who can reconnect with it? What would be useful to the students preparing to move into their own bigger world? Reach-Back begins with that connection and grows from there.

From Reunion to Responsibility

Wherever you fit, there is a way to reach back.

Every generation has something it can pass forward. Every supporter can help open a useful door. The movement can grow generation by generation without closing the door to anyone else who can help.
